Designing Character is a lifestyle and design blog documenting my home improvement escapades to inject our unique personality into our new-to-us 1920's suburban bungalow.
I'm Laura, a thirty-something suburban wife and mom with an eye for design and a knack for making things pretty (or at the very least, more presentable). Many of my harebrained ideas require a handyman's touch, and that's where my engineer husband often swoops in to save the day. On this little slice on the web, I share my home improvement projects along with other crafty ideas that help spark my creativity, with my ultimate goal being to inject our family's character into my cute bungalow in the 'burbs of Chicago.
